ABOUT TOURING THE COTSWOLDS

Tim was born and brought up on the family farm in the village of Snowshill in the North Cotswolds. Tim was the middle son of 3 boys. Tim chose to stay in farming, running his own sheep farming business, by renting land on the Cotswolds and breeding lambs from his flock of 1200 breeding sheep. His elder brother went into international business, whilst his younger brother became an accomplished artist. Tim married his wife Jacki in 1968 they have 2 Sons, and 3 Grandsons. Tim has lived and worked in the Cotswold area for most of his life. After College and working near London for 12 months Tim returned to Snowshill and married his wife Jacki.

Although still farming Tim and Jacki set up a delicatessen and mail order food hamper business in 1986, this business was successful and they sold the business on in 1999. During this time Tim and Jacki travelled the UK and Europe looking for food delicacies to sell in their shops. In 2001 after extending their house Jacki started her B & B business which has blossomed, and currently enjoys a 4 star rating  "Gold" award www.broadway-cotswolds.co.uk/sheepscombe.html

Tim soon identified a need for a guided tour Chauffeur service to offer to their guests and other hospitality businesses in the area, and with Tim’s wealth of local, and countrywide knowledge Tim’s Chauffeur tour guide service started up in 2002 and has progressed so much that Tim now has cut down on his farming activities and spends most of his time on his tours.

Many of Tim’s clients are visitors from abroad mainly USA, Canada, and Japan. Both Tim’s and Jacki’s businesses are promoted well in Rick Steves’s UK travel guide, and also in Yumiko Tivers’s Cotswold guide book.
