Prices for tour guiding services from 1st March 2012

Purely as a guide my rates for guiding you are From £40 per hour. (E.g.for 2 people A full day of 9.5 hours would normaly be £380-00) NB I will always quote you a price. I am fully insured for up to 4 passengers, This price is charged for arranging your tour it also includes the itinerary for your tour, all of the help, advice, and dialogue that we may have had during the planning. Also printed itinerary sheets of your tour, with images, descriptions and names of villages, attractions and dates etc. for you to keep as a memento.
NB I will sometimes arrange tours for half days, however a minimum of 5 hours is recommended for a tour...In season a 5 hour tour I charge from £260-00
NB My prices do not include The entry price for any attractions that we may visit. The cost of any sustenance that you may take. Gratuities. Or my overnight Expenses...if we are touring and I'm staying away from the Cotswold area. Eg...Lake District..Yorkshire...South East England...Scotland..Ireland etc. (I charge a £100 per night for my B & B and an evening meal)
A quotation for your tour will always be given to you.
I have an open and honest policy. Please read all my policies. There are no hidden extras!
NB,When quoting.. Your tour time includes my journey time to and from your accommodation. (unless within the immediate area)
NB, I work on a first come first served basis, I get busy during the season. If you are interested in booking please book early. If I am booked I will try and find an associate as a replacement for you to do your tour.
To secure and confirm your booking Please send me your Credit or Debit card details. Most people send them either split up in 2 or 3 emails,or by fax or telephone. I take no money from your cards until after your stay, I merely verify their validity... Please note any form of payment can still be used on settlement if preffered after your tour. Owing to currency fluctuations many of my customers from overseas prefer to pay all or part of their fee at the time of booking. I am now able to do this I would need your full address and also your 3 digit security code that is on the reverse of your card plus all 16 numbers and expiry date. I advise you to fax or telephone me with these details.
If booking through a third party. (Eg via an Agent). I require a 50% deposit on confirmation with the balance to be paid prior to the clients departure.. for this procedure I require in addition to the 16 figure number and the expiry date .... the 3 figure security number on the reverse of the card...the card owners address... and their zip code.
Payment
There will be No surcharge for the following...Sterling Travellers Cheques, Cash, or UK Debit Mastercard and UK Debit Visa.
UK Visa & Mastercard Credit cards that are signed with Chip & Pin will carry a 2% surcharge.
Foreign Cards
With regret..Owing to ever increasing Card charges, especially with non chip & pin cards All payment taken for Visa and Mastercard Credit Cards & Debit Cards from Foreign Countries will carry a 2.00% surcharge if they are Chip and Pin signed, if they are "swipe" and signature signed a 2.6% surcharge will apply. Your card details will be taken at the time of booking purely for verification only (nothing taken until after your tour and you can then pay by any means that you prefer then)
General Cancellation Policy. If you need to cancel at anytime, after you have confirmed your tour (this is after you have provided me with your card details). First I would email you. I would then charge you at a rate of £30-00 for each day of your tour, to cover my time spent.
Late Cancellation (if you need to cancel within 8 Weeks of starting your tour) cancellation is at my discretion. Up to 60% of the quote will be charged. If a "no show" all of the price quoted will be charged & any additional incurred expenses. If I am able to rearrange another tour / tours on your date / dates then a refund relating to the percentage taken will be refunded after the completed dates. NB FYI..My average lead time from bookings, to administering the tour, is in excess of 3 Months....this can mean that I am left without work if cancellations happen. I thoroughly recommend that all my clients take out Travel Insurance.
Nb. If Jacki's B & B has been booked through me a minimum charge of £50-00, (or for more than 1 day's booking). the first nights charge will be deducted for her business in addition to my cancellatuion policy.
NB All charges are for Tour Guiding services only & those in connection with or for the promotion of such by way of demonstration. There is no charge or part of any charge made for driving as private hire taxi or chauffeur services. Those are services not offered, advertised or provided by me.
