I wish to thank the dozens of my “friends” that tour with me each year who send me amazing thank you letters and emails. I must apologise - I’m rather remiss as I am not very good at remembering to post them on my site! And for more recent reviews please also see Tour The Cotswolds on TripAdvisor

Dear Tim, This is not a proper 'Thank You', just a quick note of appreciation. Because of who you are and what you do, you made our trip in the Cotswolds a most memorable one. Each day was an adventure and discovery because you go beyond what is expected. And per your suggestion we walked to the Butchers Arms (delicious) and Rococo Garden (magical). Wonderful! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much. Patty & Alex, USA. Toured May 2017.

Dear Tim, Greetings from the USA. I hope this note finds you and your family well. One year ago today we met you at the airport and embarked on the most wonderful road trip adventure with you. The trip of a lifetime for us, truly. There is not a day that goes by that we do not reminisce of our time with you in the charming English villages and beautiful countryside of the Cotswolds. We often repeat your delightful stories and quips to one another. We still delight in the laughs we shared in our time together. You are still making us smile, a year later. Our trip inspired an ancestry search and to our delight we have indeed found roots in the Cotswolds, way back. One of my husband's relatives signed the Magna Carta. I believe he is buried in Tewkesbury Abby. We hope to see you again in the coming year as we look forward to another adventure in your company and sharing even more joy and laughter. Blessings, Ellen. May 2016.

Wow! Three full days of fabulous scenery, history and historic sites with the BEST guide in England. We had a comfortable (Lexus suv) ride with many stops to visit/tour seeing and doing as much as we liked. Tim is accommodating and knows all there is to know of the Cotswolds. We stopped at the best places for lunch as well. Tim has a lovely farm in Snowshill and grew up in the area. DON'T MISS THIS TOUR by trying to see the Cotswolds in a bus, as it can't be done. This was the best trip of all the places we have visited in Europe and Britain. June 2015 (from Trip Advisor)

We are home safely and again wanted to thank you and Jacki for being so kind to us. You are the best! Everything was fabulous! Best Wishes! Lindsey and Jim. August 2014.

Tim, I just wanted to tell you that the day Katy and I spent with you was the highlight of our trip! I enjoyed your enthusiasm and knowledge, and I loved seeing things that we normally would never have seen. It was fun, interesting, and you made us feel like we'd known you forever! Thank you so much for such a great day! I rated you on Trip Advisor! :) Thanks again.Best wishes Kathy USA. July 2014.

Tim, What a wonderful day you orchestrated today! I just was reviewing the photos on my camera. Everything that you showed us and drove us to was excellent. I really think we maximised the day! Thank you so much once again for a special treat! Warmest regards, Joe, Lynne, Chris and Betsy USA. May 28th 2014.

Hello Tim, Since we arrived home on the 20th, time has just flown by, getting over jet lag, trying to get organised, working on selling our boat and the never ending list of things we all must attend to.
However, every day we speak of how much we enjoyed our time in the Cotswolds, how much we saw with you as our wonderfully knowledgeable driver/guide with the most comfortable car, and what a perfect introduction it was to our total vacation. You, Annie, Seymour House made our trip absolutely wonderful. Thank you. We are glad to be home, but we are here with a knowledge of "new to us" places and wonderful memories of some most interesting people we met along the way. Thank you so much for the very large part you played in all of this. Sincerely, Norma and Norm from Canada.

Tim, Thanks for a great day in the Cotswolds. We really enjoyed seeing such a beautiful part of your country. You're a great tour guide. We are glad our path's have crossed. You made our trip to the UK extra special. All the best, Steve, Beth, Samantha and Sydney. USA
P.S. Thank you also for the Bob Hodge book Cotswold Born and Breed. Very nice touch!!

Dear Tim-san, Thank you for everything for our tour of March 28-29. All of us fully enjoyed the tour, including our stay at Sheepscombe House B&B, visiting so many small and beautiful villages, your detailed and kind guided tour. I will definitely recommend your service to anyone who are planning to visit Cotswolds. Please send our thanks to Jacki for her hearty and nice breakfast, which we really liked and enjoyed. Best regards, Rieko Japan. Thursday 25th February 2010.

Dear Tim, Thank you so much for the great day out in the Cotswolds. You did such a fine job in planning out the trip and including sites that were of interest to us. In spite of the nasty weather, Roger and I had such a delightful time, saw many fascinating and lovely sites, and learned so much! Your day tour certainly is one of the best ones we have experienced in all our travels throughout Europe, and, as I said several times, we would most heartily and unconditionally recommend you and your services to anyone who asks. . The book, Cotswold born 'n Bred, you gave us is on my end table, as it is next in the queue to be read. And I am taking my sheep poster to be dry mounted, and then I'll hang it upstairs in my sewing room. By the way, when I met my daughter in London the next day, we were in the Liberty of London store, and they had some of that yarn I was telling you about, made from the ancient sheep breeds, that I purchased and took home.
Our trip back to London was an easy one: we got on the train, and then just stayed there until we disembarked at Paddington.
Our day trip with you has only whetted our appetite to return to the Cotswolds again, perhaps in the spring or fall, when the weather should be nicer.
Stay well, and thank you again for such a wonderful day. Best regards, Jane and Roger H. USA

Re: Best Way to See the Area? (taken from a Tripadvisor forum) 09 June 2009, 9:51
Hi, my friends and I just returned from the Cotswolds, are in our fifties and travelled without a car. The three of us rented a cottage in Moreton and when we return next year, will be renting a cottage in Chipping Campden. The cottages are wonderful and affordable. The train will get you to Moreton, taxis will take you the rest of the way to your cottage.
We kept our expenses down so we could enjoy an extravagance in the Cotswolds and hire a private driver guide. BEST idea we ever had. We used Tim Harrison, www.tourthecotswolds.co.uk and he was great! We loved it so much we blew our budget and hired him for 4 days. With Cotwold's roots dating back to the 14th century, he knows every village, manor, farm, stable and back road.
Even if you can only afford one day, do it. It will be an amazing day! You will see the Cotswolds with a charming, entertaining companion in a luxury car and learn and see more in a day than you ever would by yourself in a week.
You can expect to see things and hear stories other visitors will never know. (AND he knows the best restaurants!)
Highly recommend him, guaranteed great day, best way to get introduced to the area. Paulette

Dear Tim, Many thanks for a magical and memorable day in the Cotswolds.
Your tour was personable, pleasurable and exceeded all of my expectations. I so appreciate the time and careful thought you put into making the journey through the delightful storybook land of the Cotswolds both interesting and meaningful for me. I truly appreciated all of the fine touches … from the beautiful itinerary the comfort of your luxury car. With heated seats, no less! And I thank you for the thoughtful souvenir book.
After sharing the details of my adventures with him, my husband is now equally eager to return with me to really dive in and explore the gardens and all the region has to offer. We’ll definitely reach out to you, I can’t imagine a finer guide. Wishing you and your beautiful family a lovely and very Merry Christmas. My best Judy Proffer.

Hi Tim, We would like to express our great appreciation for such a profoundly memorable tour of the Cotswolds, a journey we still talk about and remember with great joy. Since it was our first time to visit the amazing Cotswolds, we really needed someone who knows the area very well, and how lucky we were when we found you. When we visit the Cotswolds again, we know that in order to experience its magic, we need Tim by our side! It's incredibly fascinating how rich in knowledge you are about this gorgeous area and its history. So, thanks again for a great time and for showing us how the Cotswolds area is truly the jewel of England. Best Tarek Sides
